There are 21 awards in total up for grabs in 2026, celebrating all aspects of our amazing industry. The nominations will open soon to give all applicable companies the chance to enter.
We typically have a huge number of nominations for our awards. All eligible entries are put forward for the next phase of the process, during which a core judging team of media and independent professionals create a shortlist from the submitted games, services, and companies, to be voted on by the whole industry.
NOMINATIONS FOR THE 2026 AWARDS ARE NOW OPEN
There are a total of 21 awards – including new (and revised) entries for 2026 – up for grabs celebrating all aspects of our amazing industry and it couldn’t be easier to submit your entry for contention.
SUBMISSION DEADLINE: JUNE 1, 2026
Simply select the award from the list below and fill in the form, including a short explanation of why the entry should be considered (links to images and videos can be added).
Please note that unless specified otherwise in the awards description, the period for consideration covers June 2025 to May 2026. Only games, services, company performance released or achieved within that timeframe are eligible for the awards.
Following the nomination phase we’ll present the finalists. Following the success of recent years, we will again be opening the voting phase to all members of the industry – more on this when we get there.

This is the only award nominated by and voted for by consumers, and recognises the best new game to have received a full release between June 2025 and May 2026. The People’s Choice Award runs both its submission and voting phases through PocketGamer.com, with the winner revealed on the night of the ceremony.
The People’s Choice Award will be shortlisted by the expert journalists at Pocket Gamer and voted for directly by the games playing public on www.pocketgamer.com

This accolade is for companies that support the ecosystem through the enabling of user acquisition or monetisation via advertising, and that are helping games and developers in this fast-moving business to grow their audience.
(The period for consideration covers June 2025 – May 2026.)
Best Advertising & UA Service
A new addition since 2025, this award celebrates the innovation developers inject into games released (or substantially updated) between June 2025 and May 2026, often transforming the player experience from the familiar into the extraordinary.
Best Game Innovation
Any company that assists developers and publishers in developing their games and running marketing campaigns through analytics tools and/or providing data on market performance.
(The period for consideration covers June 2025 – May 2026.)
Best Analytics / Data Tool
This accolade rewards a game that has enriched the player experience by layering it with exceptional graphical and aural quality. To be eligible for this award, games must have been given a full release (or received a significant and noteworthy expansion that showcases new audio accomplishment) between June 2025 and May 2026.
AudioVisual Excellence
Celebrating the payment service provision – processing, monetisation, distribution, backend support, fraud prevention, etc – that best serves game studios through its range of features and integrations geared towards a seamless payment experience and specifically suited to mobile gaming applications.
Best Payment Service Provider
This award recognises any co-development partnership or third-party service provider / outsourcer that supports developers in the making of games, whether through QA, art, audio, trailers, UX, localisation, or other related services to ensure that both new releases and updates get to market successfully.
Best Development Partner
A new addition for 2026, this category showcases the best in browser-based entertainment whilst recognising the significant resurgence this sector is currently enjoying due to increased technological prowess now enabling modern, sophisticated gaming experiences.
Best Web Game
This award recognises any co-development partnership or third-party service provider / outsourcer that supports developers in the making of games, whether through art, audio, trailers, UX, or other related services.
Best Support Tool
Any mobile games company with 11 or more staff that has released a game, or successfully grown an existing game, between June 2025 and May 2026, as well as expanded their business and made an impact on the industry through innovation, creativity and/or other initiatives.
Best Developer
This special award recognises a person from any corner of the globe who has demonstrated a considerable amount of success, influence, and impact despite their relatively recent arrival within the mobile games industry. This award is open for submissions and, new for 2026, will also be voted on by the industry (it was previously selected directly by the organisation committee of the Mobile Games Awards).
Rising Star
A revised category this year which showcases ‘transmedia IP success’: highlighting either the most impressive implementation of an intellectual property in a mobile game released/substantially updated between June 2025 and May 2026, or a celebrated mobile game IP transition to media such as film, tv series, books, audio, or other.
Best Use of IP or Licence
This award recognises the most impactful and successful marketing campaign, responsible for directly turbo-charging the growth of a game between June 2025 and May 2026. This can be through any medium, including online, TV, IRL or other.
Best Marketing Campaign
Updated for 2026, this category highlights the crucial role of web shop technology and third-party app stores as mobile continues its expansion into new markets – by celebrating the leading online-based stores and digital distribution platforms that have impressed the most between June 2025 and May 2026.
Leading Store Experience
This accolade recognises the achievements of a small team of developers that have released a game, or successfully grown an existing game, between June 2025 and May 2026.
Best Indie Developer
An award that recognises industry-leading efforts to establish exceptional company culture within the significantly increased remote-first development sector, as studios look to maximise on the opportunity of gaining access to international talent regardless of geographical location.
Company Culture Champion
An award dedicated to the games that weave themselves into players’ lives, and which recognises the impact of significant updates, in-game events, excellent community management, or esports activity that has ensured the game’s momentum through the past 12 months.
Best Forever Franchise
“Morning, Claude. Don’t suppose you could suggest which company over the June 2025 and May 2026 period has showcased the most impressive use of AI for mobile game creation?”
Best Use of AI
Celebrating the company that has brought the strongest new game line-up to market on mobile devices between June 2025 and May 2026, whether through in-house/third-party publishing support, marketing, co-development, or investment.
Best Publisher
This award recognises the finest mobile gaming experience released over the past 12 months based on creativity, play mechanics, technological, artistic and aural achievement, innovation, audience engagement, and both critical and commercial success. To be eligible for this award, games must have been given a full release (or received the most substantial of updates) between June 2025 and May 2026.
Game of the Year
This illustrious lifetime achievement award recognises a person from any mobile gaming territory who has achieved a considerable amount of success in their career and has acted as a pioneer in, and made an outstanding contribution to, the mobile games space.
The Mobile Legend is a special award, selected directly by the organisation committee of the Mobile Games Awards.

Lobbying for the 23 categories of the Pocket Gamer Mobile Games Awards 2020 has now ended – our thanks to the huge number of industry members who nominated.
The shortlist will now be determined and subsequently presented to a judging panel made up of more than 100 industry experts for voting.
The finalists will be announced in December, with the winners revealed at a gala dinner event in central London on Tuesday, January 21st.
